• Based on a previous work, O jardim do silêncio is generally a metamorphosis to experience different material in the same form.
• About the almost diatonic but distorted heights, I imagine a chemical corrosion of metal in which bronze becomes a turquoise blue stain.
• I hope you will be as indulgent with this music as you are with the irrationality of a brushstroke. How horrible it would be to imagine Picasso painting mechanically. If the texture is thick and uneven, if the outline is crooked, then feel the beauty of its imperfection. The Persians introduced imperfection into their carpets because it would be a confrontation with God to achieve perfection.
• Outside the ruler and square of notation, I want you to be free to make the result more poetic. Let your rhythmic imperfections flow.
• Interrupting the main narrative, there are a series of episodes that are separated by total silence. Be careful because some arrive abruptly and total silence must be observed.
• The title “garden” evokes the inspiration I had from the basic principles of landscape architecture. The “silence” part is obvious.
