PhD announcement
I am pleased to announce that since October I’ve been a PhD student in Composition at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), under the supervision of Dimitri Papageorgiou, Franck Bedrossian (KUG-Graz) e Emilios Cambouropoulos.
I was also awarded one of the doctoral scholarships by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, Portugal). Among the 166 applications from the Arts Panel, my proposal came in 1st place.

Some photos from the premiere of Ecos de Trovas by Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra conducted by Rita Castro Blanco at the Portuguese National Library. The work was the winner of the Francisco de Lacerda Composer / Fundação Millennium bcp 2023 Award.

Premiere of Ecos de Trovas and participation at ENIM
Tomorrow will be the premiere of Ecos de Trovas by the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra conducted by Rita Castro Blanco. The concert will take place at the Portuguese National Library.
There will also be a preview today at the Portuguese National Railway Museum (sold out) and, next Sunday, another performance at the Luísa Todi Municipal Forum.

Tomorrow I’ll also be at another edition of ENIM, taking place at the Real Edifício de Mafra, to talk about microtonality, notation and the collaborative process in my work na plangência.

Winner of Francisco de Lacerda Foundation Millennium bcp Award 2023
I am delighted to announce that I am the winner of the Francisco de Lacerda Foundation Millennium bcp Composer Prize 2023. The jury for this edition was made up of Magnus Lindberg, Christian Mason, Aspasia Nasoupolou and Vasco Mendonça. Ecos de Trovas will be premiered by the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra on 30 September.
