Rondino’s premiere
On Friday, April 28, at 9:30 p.m., my arrangement of Beethoven’s Rondino for the two organs of the Braga Cathedral will be premiered. This work was awarded the 3rd Edition of the Pedro de Araújo International Composition Prize, as part of the Braga International Organ Festival.

Premiere of ‘Atrito’ at MNAA
Tomorrow, at 19:00, my work Atrito for accordion and string quartet will be premiered in Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA). The concert will be broadcast on Antena 2.

‘texturas de sombra’ at O’culto da Ajuda
On November 19, Frederic Cardoso once again played my work texturas de sombra for bass clarinet and electronics at O’culto da Ajuda. The concert, made up of various works from the album LUX ET UMBRA, was broadcast live on YouTube and can be watched here:

Paper presentation at ENIM and other news
On November 9, Henrique Portovedo played my piece for baritone saxophone and electronics as part of the XI Portuguese Music Research Meeting (EnIM), which took place at the University of Aveiro. Our paper was entitled Os processos composicional e colaborativo e o papel do último multifónico em Orgias do agora.
A few days earlier, on October 24, the Concrète Lab Ensemble, under the artistic direction of João Quinteiro, gave the Portuguese premiere of my work cae mi voz for flute, clarinet and baritone saxophone at the Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul.

Premiere of ‘Illustrate Internal Clouds’
Tomorrow, at 21:30, in Serralves, ars ad hoc ensemble will premiere my work Illustrate Internal Clouds, which has already been recorded and made available on the Arte No Tempo’s YouTube channel. They will also perform pieces by BEAT FURRER, Simon Steen-Andersen, Clara Iannotta and Joanna Bailie.

Presentations at Xperimus
Last week, at Casa da Música, I attended the conference “Xperimus: experimentation and Beyond in music” as co-author, in a presentation by Henrique Portovedo on the multiphonics catalogue that we developed, and as author, together with Frederic Cardoso, on the eighth-tone scales I developed for a solo clarinet piece. The presentation was titled “Muffled Sounds on Clarinet: Beyond microtonality and Conventional timbre” and was followed by the performance of the work E é sempre melhor o impreciso que embala do que o certo que basta.
